Sand, Sand and More Sand!

We had a really fun weekend! Stephane, Craig and Jeff came up on Friday, Jaime and Kamryn came up on Sat. We went to the Oxnard Beach, Jared and Jeff didn't get out of the water the whole time we were there! They were having a blast boogie boarding. It was overcast all day and even with all the sun screen, Jared still got fried!

Brooklyn loves following all the dogs on the beach saying "Doggie, Doggie, Doggie!!!"

Carson and Kamryn got to look at some little sand crabs that Jaime collected and they also found a sand castle that eventually got taken over by the waves.

When we got home we went swimming and BBQ some hot dogs! Yummm...

Brooklyn still today had sand coming out of her ears!

Jaime and I burried the kids and made Kamryn and Carson in to a mermaid and a merman but Kamryn jumped up the second Jaime stood up to take a pic!

Last weekend we went to Nana and Papa's house. They have some really pretty roses!

I took Carson and Brooklyn to our local Children's museum called Gull Wings. It was really neat, they had a sea tank where the kids could touch some sea stars and sea cucumbers, also some snakes and lizards and other animals. There was lots of dress up stuff and fun things to play with.

This last weekend we found the Oxnard Beach... I know it is a little weird that it has taken us so long to find this Beach but we always just go to the Ventura Beach. The Oxnard beach is really nice, all of the houses are amazing and you can park right next to the sand so carring all of our fun beach toys is a little easier! The only thing is there are no breakers so the waves are really big which posed a small problem for Jared's boogie boarding. But he still had a blast!

My little boy is growing up so fast! He had his first day of preschool today and he loved it!

Santa Barbara Zoo

Brooklyn and Carson really love going to the zoo! It's nice that it is so close to us!

The Lions came right up next to the glass! That was the first time we had seen them so close!

The Grass slide is always fun and really slippery!

Jared found this really cool park in Santa Barbara, it is a huge castle. There were lots of small passage ways and bridges. It was huge!

Carson and Brooklyn had a blast running around! I did not have that much fun because the park is huge and it was really hard keeping up with Carson and helping Brooklyn get around! Other than that the park was really amazing! We love going to the zoo! We went this week and it was a perfect day!
Some times the Lions are up on the closest rock, we have seen them twice like this! It is really exciting when they are so close!
Brooklyn and Carson were just sitting on Carson's bed reading books together the other day! They did not see me at first.

We went out to dinner with Keith. Good food and good company!

Friday night I went to my first Dodgers game!

We went with Jeremy, Jaime, Jeff, Celina, Craig, Jared and I.
