First day of First Grade

Carson had his first day of First Grade today. His teacher is Mr. Brownlee who is his Kindergarten teachers husband. He has a lot of his guy friends in his class and gets to play on the big play ground! He is so excited to be back in school and not having to run errands with mommy!

Last Beach Day of the Summer

We went to Avila for the last beach day of the summer with our friends. Carson and Brooklyn had so much fun, Ashlyn stayed with me the whole time. We have had a wonderful summer!

Skating around

Steven and Carson did a little skating at Nana and Papa's house. Carson is doing great. He has been practicing every day and has even taught him self to skate backwards!

Michelle and Bobby's Wedding

On Friday we went to the Rehearsal dinner at a restaurant in Paso Robles. Then all of the girls went to the house that Michelle's parents rented for us to spend the night and get ready the day of the wedding in. Saturday morning we all woke up and went out for Breakfast. While we were sitting at the park eating, Michelle looks over and sees Bobby walking, so we quickly covered her so he could not see her and yelled across the park for him to go the other way. Then we went back to the house to start getting ready. Michelle's Mom made us T-shirts that said "Bride's Crew" and our names under it. So we all wore them for the day. Michelle also made us flowers for our hair, each one was a little different. We wore them for the wedding. A limo picked us up and took us to lunch and then drove us back to the house to finish getting ready. We took pictures at the house and then the limo drove us out to Meridian winery where the wedding was. We took a lot more pictures and then waited in the Bridal room for the wedding planner to tell us to go to our seats for the ceremony. Michelle looked absolutely amazing. They both wrote their own vows, the whole ceremony was so beautiful. The reception followed, with a great dinner and dancing. I am so happy for Michelle and Bobby!

Carson lost a tooth

The kids are always being funny and I caught Brooklyn in a really great outfit! Carson took his off when he saw my camera coming!

On Friday morning I called Carson's Dentist because Carson was complaining about his front tooth hurting and it was getting a little dark. The dentist said that the tooth would have to go. So we went to the Oral Surgeon and that is where Carson lost his first tooth. He was pretty mad at the Dentist that pulled his tooth. But was excited for the tooth fairy to come visit.

Ashlyn

Ashlyn has been diaper free for 3 days now and is so happy about it. Every time she goes peepee or poopoo in the potty she wants to show and tell everyone. It is crazy to think that we will be a diaper free family after we figure out the night time thing!

Camping Trip

Friday night we went up to Santa Margarita Lake to Camp for the first time with our kids and our friends Kyra, Brad and Winslow. The kids saw a few little rabbits hopping around and so did Grady, he really wanted to go after them. We roasted hotdogs for dinner and Smores for desert. The kids did great sleeping in the tent, Grady was growling all night long, at any noise that he hurd so I was up telling him to shhhhh. We were a little crowded and Carson was sleeping on the edge and woke up in the morning all wet from the inside walls condensation. He said " This is just not working, I am all wet". Brad got booted out of their tent to the car for a little nap, he really just didn't want to wake up Kyra and Winslow. Jared went back in to our tent for a little nap also. We had breakfast and then packed up camp and headed down to the Lake for a little fishing. Carson was so excited to go fishing for his first time. We did not catch any fish and it was so hot, so it did not really go how we were hoping but still a good experience. Then we headed to the pool. We had so much fun and are glad that we had our friends there with us.
